ABOUT QUARTZ

Quartz is a hard crystal made of silica. It is the most common mineral on planet Earth. It is found throughout the world and is a component of many sedimentary rocks such as granite and sandstone.

Quartz can be found as a clear crystal or as other beautiful varieties and colors, including Rose Quartz, Amethyst, Citrine, Blue Quartz and Smoky Quartz. Quartz has many commercial and industrial uses, including playing a critical role in semiconductor production. But I want to discuss some other, more esoteric properties of quartz.

Clear Quartz has the remarkable ability to absorb, store, and discharge energy. Healers and electronic engineers alike have harnessed the power of quartz to serve their purposes. Ancient healers believed that quartz crystals were living, breathing beings, and the remnants of the ancient world contain numerous examples of people exalting this crystal. Quartz crystals have adorned the top of pyramids and been collected and displayed as a symbol of power and knowledge.

Quartz is used to absorb negative energy. Even when not used directly to combat negative energy it will passively soak it up, so frequent cleansing is recommended.

Quartz crystals bring me a sense of peace and of being supported. I incorporate quartz crystals into my jewelry so that you can share in these benefits, too. Not only do quartz crystals look really cool and add a mystical touch to any piece, but having a small piece of an ancient power with me is empowering.
